Technical Program Manager (NEO)

Target start date: Immediately. Relocation provided.

We are at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use, with a mission to create an abundant supply of labor through safe, intelligent automation. The Neo robot is a key part of our vision for the future. We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the cross-functional efforts that will bring this groundbreaking product to market. As the TPM for Neo, you will work closely with engineering, product, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution.

The Technical Program Manager for the Neo Robot will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the Neo robot's development, from concept through production and reports directly to the CEO. You will manage project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure that cross-functional teams are aligned on goals and expectations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. As a key leader in the product development process, you will drive progress and ensure that the Neo robot is delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end execution of the Neo robot program, ensuring that project goals are met within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, product management, manufacturing, and quality teams to coordinate efforts, resolve issues, and ensure alignment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams, ensuring that project deliverables meet both technical and functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation plans to keep the program on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and progress. Facilitate communication across teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, bottlenecks, or roadblocks, and develop strategies to resolve them, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the product development process, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, communication, and execution.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure all parts, materials, and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, milestones, and progress reports are accurately maintained and communicated to senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) or in a similar role within a hardware, robotics, or technology company.
  • Strong understanding of hardware and software development processes, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, MS Project).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Experience managing timelines, budgets, and resources for large-scale hardware development projects.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
