Robotics Service Technician

We are at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids. As we transition from R&D to full-scale manufacturing, we seek an experienced Robotics Service Technician.

We are currently looking to hire a team of highly skilled and motivated service technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing our wheel-based and bi-pedal robots. The robots will be engaged in continuous data collection 24 hours a day at our new robot studio in Moss. To maximize runtime, we want to have a service technician on site at all times, working in shifts. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and a skillset suited to do repairs and maintenance on complex electrical, electronic and mechanical systems and components. We are looking for individuals with hands-on experience, a "get-things-done" attitude, and the ability to excel in both long-term planning and day-to-day execution of practical tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with electrical and electronic systems
  • Knowledge and experience with mechanical assemblies
  • The ability to dive in and easily understand complex systems
  • Detail oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
  • Understanding of highly dynamic environments where balancing competing priorities and timelines is needed

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience with writing technical documentation
  • Experience with soldering

Typical Interview Process

  • Introductions - interviews to learn more about you and talk about 1X and the role
    • Interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
    • Hiring manager / senior team member / technical interview
  • Team interviews - technical interviews and deep-dives with team members. May include a take home challenge, presentation or problem-solving exercise
    • Technical deep-dive conversation with a team member
    • Onsite interviews with team members
  • Final Interview Stage - we move you to our final round
    • Expectation management with the hiring manager
    • We will conduct reference checks
    • Job offer conversation

The machine shop is designed to be state-of-the-art, with a variety of 5-axis CNC and EDM machines and a quality lab with a CMM machine and other equipment. 1XHQ offers food, showers, and outdoor activities.
